Junior Thespian Day - December 9, 2010
Join us for the Junior Thespian Day, at the Colorado Convention Center. A day filled with active theatre workshops for Middle School students and teacher workshops. The student workshops will be presented in a round-robin fashion, so that students can experience all of the guest artists that are brought in to instruct students on the numerous aspects of the theatre arts. The teacher workshops are presented by the Alliance for Colorado Theatre, and teachers can also sign up to receive graduate credit from the University of Northern Colorado. The $35 per student, Junior Thespian Day registration fee will include all workshops and performance events. Lunch is on your own, schools are encouraged to make use of the numerous food opportunities on the 16th Street Mall. Troupe Directors can add or delete students and events up to the deadline. Deadline for Middle School registration is November 10th, late or incomplete registrations are charged an additional fee of $45 per student. |

Colorado Thespians offers Individual Events at the Junior Thespian Conference, The Colorado Junior Individual Events audition series is intended to be an educational program that offers delegates the opportunity, using the audition approach, to receive constructive feedback on prepared theatrical material. The goal for participating students is to find their talent, strengths, and weaknesses and to grow as theatre artists. The auditions culminate in the selection of a performance showcase cast of outstanding entries, some of which will be feature on the evenings main stage. Categories include: Duet Acting, Solo Musical, Duet Musical, and Group Musical. Students not participating are encouraged to watch these audition selections as they are being adjudicated for their educational value. Students are limited to one event, there is a $15 fee for the Individual Event registration. All IE's must NOT exceed the five minute time limit, students will be stopped at the end of their time limit. |
Rules for the Junior Thespian Individual Events Showcase
The registration process in online, click the arrow in the picture at the top of any page to begin the registration process. You will develop an online account, which you can add, change and adapt to your needs. After the deadline of November 10, you will not be able to make changes to your online registration. After the 10th of November, you can add students to your record, but you cannot drop or replace students.
