Lauren Lee Garcia is a teaching artist, director, and playwright born and raised in Colorado. Growing up as a creative kid in a small town, most of her access to the arts came through school and community activities rather than formal lessons. 

Lauren earned her BA in Theatre Education from the University of Northern Colorado and later received her MA in Theatre for Young Audiences from Rose Bruford College. Her time at UNC led her to teach for six years in Denver Public Schools, where she discovered a passion for creating meaningful arts experiences with young people. She now works as an Arts Event Coordinator, collaborating with fellow arts educators to design engaging opportunities that bring students and the arts together.
