Butler Theatre is practice / production-based BA program with declarable emphases in Acting, Directing, Music Theatre, Design, Dramaturgy, or a general theatre multi-emphasis major. It may be a good fit for you. Our faculty of professional theatre artists offers a comprehensive program that spans Shakespeare to Social Justice and Diversity oriented work, new work, Devised theatre. First-year students are eligible for mainstage casting in the first semester. Minors, secondary major and study abroad programs not only possible but encouraged. We also offer a Theater Arts Administration degree a program that interacts with the Lacey School of Business and whose majors are full theater majors and Arts admin majors. Our unique Summer intensive at the Moscow Art Theatre School is open to all theatre majors, and other study programs include intensives in NYC and London, and internships including the Indiana Shakespeare Company. Please come interview with me to discuss how you can develop your unique artistic voice as a theatre artist at Butler! Every student does a senior project of their choosing as part of the capstone experience, and 98% of our graduates are working or in serious graduate programs. We are often a good match for students from schools of the arts who want to continue their practice at a high level, while broadening and deepening their education. William Fisher
