What: High School Theatre in Colorado supports the fifth largest economic industry, the creative sector. Be a part of the Rocky Mountain regions leading educational theatre event, the 2019 Colorado State Thespian Conference. The Colorado State Thespian Society will be hosting their 55th annual high school and middle school theatre conference December 12-14, 2019 at the Colorado Convention Center and the Sheraton Downtown Denver Hotel, located in the heart of the Denver Performing Arts community.

Visit our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page to assist your school in registering and attending the Colorado High School Theatre Conference. All High Schools, Middle Schools, and Charter Schools in the three state regions of Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico are invited to attend, and we would like to encourage new schools from these areas to join us and share the excitement of high school theatre. Cost is $120 per high school student, $40 per middle school student, $25 per Individual Event, with a limit of two per student, and $30 for sponsors/chaperones.

Graduate Credit

Conference participants, are able to sign up for graduate credit. To register for THEA 513 credit from the University of Northern Colorado, please read the directions for online registration on the downloadable syllabus. Participants who plan to attend both the Teacher’s Conference and the December Thespian Conference may sign up for 2 credits.  If you plan to attend both conferences and want 2 credits, please sign up for both at the same time.

“Share the Dream” Charity Project 2019

Each year the Colorado State Thespians raises money for our service project. We have identified Mirror Image Arts, as our local arts nonprofit to support. You can help by raising money at your school and contributing to the growing funds. Try holding a school fund-raiser prior to conference, pass a bucket at your shows, you would be surprised at how much you can raise. Since 2005 Colorado Thespians has raised $85,473.00 to support state and national charities within the Colorado community.
