Registration 8 to 9 a.m., with the first workshop at 9 a.m., the day ends at 4 p.m..
Teachers in attendance are able to sign up for graduate level credit offered through the University of Northern Colorado and are provided with evidence for Colorado’s Teacher Effectiveness work.
The $40 per student Junior Thespian Day registration fee, will include all workshops and performance events. Lunch is on your own, while most schools have students bring a sack lunch, and dine with the DJ entertainment provided. Please make sure your school cleans up after themselves.
The conference schedule will be located on the Thescon page of the web site. To set up a school account, click the button “Login or Register for Conference” in the upper right hand corner of this page.

New in 2016! We have added more workshops and more opportunities to sign up for Individual Events.
Colorado Thespians offers Individual Events at the Junior Thespian Conference. The Colorado Junior Individual Events audition series is intended to be an educational program that offers delegates the opportunity, using the audition approach, to receive constructive feedback on prepared theatrical material. The goal for participating students is to find their talent, strengths, and weaknesses and to grow as theatre artists. This process also supports Teacher Effectiveness for the Colorado Teacher Effectiveness process. The auditions culminate in the selection of a performance showcase cast of outstanding entries, some of which will be featured on the afternoon main stage for the junior thespian conference.
There are numerous categories included in the middle school individual events: Monologues, Duet Acting, Solo Musical, Duet Musical, and Group Musical.
Students not participating are encouraged to watch these individual event selections as they are being adjudicated for their educational value. Students are limited to signing up for only one event, there is a $25 fee for the Individual Events per participant. All Individual Events must not exceed the 5 minute time limit (2 minutes for Monologues), students will be stopped at the end of their time limit. Monologues are limited to two minutes. Rules for Individual Events are located under the “Events Showcase” page.
The registration process is online, click the “Login and Register” at the top of any page of the web site to begin the registration process. You will develop an online account, which you can add, change and adapt to your needs. After the deadline of November 10, you will not be able to make changes to your online registration. After the 10th of November, you can add students to your record, however, these new additions will be charged the late fee. Please note, after the deadline you cannot drop or replace students, and no refund will be given.
